Design of high performance motorsport components

An exciting project and a return to the motorsport industry for us. Working for a small company that performance-tunes car engines we redesigned engine components to improve their functionality and increase durability.

It was critical that the parts interface with the engine, so some original parts had to be 3D scanned to ensure that the interface geomerty was accurately captured.

The project culminated in the generation of manufaturing drawings and STEP files to enable the new components to be machined from billet.
